Thoughts from my head space

Previously known as Moree natter but seeing as I don't reside there anymore this is a more appropriate title.

Another Friday

Waiting for the final bell to sound, I sit and contemplate. Thank god that the jet above has only broken the sound barrier just now and not the windows as the RAAF over fly the town. I would give anything for it to be week 10 instead of week 3.....it will be a long term I think!

Friday

Friday! That glorious day at the end of a working week when thoughts turn to thinks unwork like. Thoughts of gardening, movies to be viewed, books to be read, wine to be drunk, cheese to be eaten, late nights to be had, music to enjoy and ...................

HOUSEWORK?!!!!!

I want to win a small fortune so that I may hire someone to clean my abode and save me half of my weekend. Pipe dreams. So it is with a heavy heart I return home to face the toilets and bathroom.
Enjoy your weekend.

Gnome? What Gnome!

The place: Katherine NT
Time: Thurs 17/11/05 sometime in the afternoon

An number of emergency services were called to a yard in Grevillea Drive yesterday when it was reported that a resident had found a WWII bomb in their yard. After careful observations were made the "bomb" was found to be a buried garden gnome. What caused some unthinking & cruel person to do this to a poor innocent gnome? Gnomes have a right to be left in peace or take a holiday as they see fit.

I have an understanding of how those who have been victims of gnomenapping are feeling. Why do people feel the need to remove gnomes from their happy surroundings & place them in ohter places where they are bound to become depressed & anxious. Who has my gnome? He was a lovely little fellow with a blue jacket & a red hat & he lived under the palms with a possum. Poss is very lonely now......I hope you are suffering from remorse gnomenapper!! (or a troll has gnashed your bones under a bridge somewhere)

Thinking in a free period

Rushing headlong toward the end of 2005... wondering what will occur in the dying weeks and at the same time being totally apathetic.

What is the real meaning of 42? Does it really matter? Why do poodles get off licking the backs of cane toads? How does a small brown dog coming to my front door each morning effect my two dogs? Will this make them suffer mentally as they haven't the same freedom as he has? How come teenagers always reckon they are at the worst school when in reality there are worse schools in other places? Why do teenage girls of a certain age feel compelled to be irritating constantly? Is my small dog really just a smaller, fatter version of my large dog and does this make her feel insecure? Does she worry about her middle age as I do or is she really as silly as she seems? Perhaps I should take to sleeping a lot & licking people & jumping on their laps to relieve boredom.

Happy October 25th! Only 2 months until Christmas!!!!!!!!

Another day

All is well in the sultry north. The rains are beginning and we are all enjoying the comforts of having a swimming pool.

Buildup. What buildup?

The buildup officially started last Wednesday(September 7th) at 8.21am or so I'm told. I know that this is close to correct as from that day we have had high humidity & heat....I promised I'd not complain. The cloudy is here every day & yesterday we even had a good shower to cool us down until the sun come out & it got steamy again.

To all my fellow bloggers from Links toLearning Worldwide Graffiti I say hello and would love to hear from any of you about how things are going.

Stay cool

On the move!

By the time anyone reads this I will be living once again in Katherine. Think of me in the spring as I go through the Buildup for the first time in two and half years. Hope to hear from some of you through my blog.

This beautiful spot is Edith Falls (Leilyn) north of Katherine and in the northern part of Nitmiluk National Park. You can swim here quite safely in the dry season and it also has a picnic area with gas BBQ's.
